Refund Policy

The short version
Full refund within 48 hours of purchase, as long as your letter has not yet been mailed. Once a letter is in the USPS mail stream, we cannot un-send it and the underlying USPS Certified Mail cost has already been incurred — so refunds at that point are not available.
Why a 48-hour window
We typically print and dispatch letters within 24–48 hours of purchase. The 48-hour window gives you a clear, predictable cancellation right while letting us mail quickly enough that customers benefit from the certified-mail timeline.
How to request a cancellation
Email refunds@securitydepositback.com with your order number (in your purchase receipt). We respond within 1 business day. If your letter has not yet been physically mailed, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Add-on services
The same 48-hour rule applies to follow-up notices: full refund if requested before the follow-up has been mailed. The Complete Case Bundle, since it's a digital deliverable generated immediately, is non-refundable once issued.
Disputed charges
If you believe a charge was made in error or you didn't authorize it, contact us first at billing@securitydepositback.com — we'll work to resolve it directly. Chargebacks filed before contacting us delay resolution.
What this isn't
A refund is not available based on the outcome of your case. We provide the letter and the mailing service; we don't and can't guarantee that your landlord will respond, return your deposit, or take any other action. See our Terms and Disclaimer for the full picture.
